Feature changed by: Karl Cheng (qantas94heavy) Feature #316224, revision 8 Title: Drop dhcpcd from distribution - openSUSE Distribution: New + openSUSE Distribution: Done Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Peter Varkoly (varkoly) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: We are going to drop dhcpcd on SLES. There are more reasons: 1. We already have two alternate packages for dhcpcd: dhcp-client and wicked. 2. The actual version will not be maintained by upstream 3. An update to the actual dhcpcd version requires a lot of unneeded work. Steffen Winterfeld was informed and he knows that our initrd must be adapted. Discussion: #1: Ludwig Nussel (lnussel) (2013-08-07 10:38:17) Too late for 13.1 which btw doesn't have wicket. #2: Peter Varkoly (varkoly) (2014-09-27 20:10:30) Now we can drop dhcpcd. openSUSE 13.2 have already wicked. #3: XX XX (ap0g33) (2014-12-23 13:17:41) (reply to #2) dhcpcd is part of patterns-openSUSE-base in 13.2 So with wicked integrated in 13.2 shouldnt patterns-openSUSE-base bew fixed? -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/316224
