Feature changed by: hehe br (hehe_br) Feature #319523, revision 4 Title: Yast on the System Tray openSUSE Distribution: New Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: hehe br (hehe_br) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Add the possibility to have Yast on the System Tray. Use Case: Where: Left click > Opens Yast main window. Right Click > Opens the list with the individual modules to select the desired one. As Yast is a configuration tool, this feature should not be set as standard. An option could be inserted in the "Miscellaneous" section on Yast where it can be enabled. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: Justification: This would give a faster access to Yast modules to people who use Yast very often. Thanks for your help and attention! Discussion: #1: Sławomir Lach (lachu) (2015-10-13 11:40:10) I dislike this idea. In KDE you can add yast to favorites or pin application to task manager. + #2: hehe br (hehe_br) (2015-10-14 02:34:18) (reply to #1) + Maybe it does not look nice to have the icon of 15 or more modules in + your task bar. The idea is to have a clean, easy, and fast access to + the feature you want without the need open Yast, click on the referred + category, scroll down the section, then click on the "kernel + configuration", for instance! -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/319523
