Feature changed by: Michael Chang (michael-chang) Feature #316449, revision 2 Title: Support UEFI installation on IMSM MD array openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Michael Chang (michael-chang) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: The Intel Matrix RAID is a firmware RAID system that is commonly integrated on modern southbridge of Intel Desktop and Server platforms. As long as the EFI firmware supports it, the ESP(EFI System Partition) can be a RAIDed partition and managed by mdadm or any other supported raid manager. This request is about the installer to be able to create EFI Sysetm Partition as one IMSM RAID member and reuse any existing ESP which has been IMSM RAIDed. Current installer could only support ESP as native partition and do not attempt to reuse ESP which is IMSM RAIDed. + Relations: + - Bug 818871 - os-prober not detecting EFI System Partition on IMSM MD + array (novell/bugzilla/id: + https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=818871) + https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=https://bugzilla.novell.com/show... Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: To unleash the full capability of RAID to boost performance and to have data redundancy without any hassle and everything work out of box. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/316449
