Feature changed by: Alexander Orlovskyy (aorlovskyy) Feature #306935, revision 10 Title: Backport X-Fi support into Factory kernel openSUSE-11.2: Done Priority Requester: Important Projectmanager: Important Requested by: Dean Hilkewich (deanjo13) Description: Could you please backport the x-fi alsa module into the factory kernel. People have been waiting far to long for this support and it would be ashame to not have it tested extensively in the early stages of 11.2 development. Discussion: #1: Takashi Iwai (tiwai) (2009-07-22 16:08:14) The work is relatively easy, less than a half-day. We need just to backport straight from the latest ALSA tree. #2: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) (2009-07-23 10:23:07) (reply to #1) And done already - Thanks! #3: Dean Hilkewich (deanjo13) (2009-07-23 14:21:56) Yes thank you very much. #4: Alexander Orlovskyy (aorlovskyy) (2009-10-14 16:27:34) How i can check the availability of this module? #5: Takashi Iwai (tiwai) (2009-10-14 16:36:30) (reply to #4) The modules are automatically loaded without doing anything at boot-up. Check /proc/asound/cards entries. There is still a known bug that yast2 sound module doesn't detect these boards. It'll be fixed (hopefully) soon. + #6: Alexander Orlovskyy (aorlovskyy) (2009-10-19 09:47:46) + Takashi, is it possible to test this feature without having x-fi sound + card? -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/306935
