Feature changed by: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) Feature #309373, revision 4 Title: end of installation: please stop - openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed + openSUSE-11.3: Rejected by Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) + reject reason: Not done - see also comments. Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Maciej Pilichowski (truemacias) Description: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=597709 When you install the system, installer install all the packages, at some point everything is done, and installer reboots. Now, here is the problem -- installing can take some amount of time, so it is not a guarantee user looks at the monitor. When user comes back, she/he cannot be sure everything was fine -- maybe installer crashed in 99%, maybe there was power outage, and so on. So the wish is -- when everything is done, and installer is about to reboot _stop_. Don't do any countdown timer, wait for the user, so he/she could see everything was fine, and can click "next" to reboot and start his/her freshly installed system. Discussion: #1: Per Jessen (pjessen) (2010-04-20 20:13:14) This behaviour (automatically reboot after having completed phase1) is actually considered a feature by some people. #2: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2010-05-06 23:02:40) If yast2 crashed, it will return to linuxrc and stop there. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/309373
