i found this article: https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:YaST_logging_to_USB_stick_during_installation but its very dated (old) discussed here: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/492884-Yast-logging-to-USB-stick-... maybe add option to save log files to usb stick or other drive when yast is crashing...
