Re: [opensuse-factory] Why don't we change to cdrtools ?

Has suse really no interest to satisfy their customers?
I would think that the community has an interest in satisfying it's users. However, there is a cost associated with every choice and these costs have to be weight.
The costs from distributing buggy software like the fork are of course hight than using the bug free original software.
What is the reason for being unfriendly to a very active OSS author?
Well, lets just say that the door swings both ways. When one party threatens to sue the other party the originator of the threat should probably not expect to be welcome with open arms.
Correct, suse started to be unfriendly to me many years ago when some people at suse started ton introduce bugs into cdrtools and the annoyed users from suse did send their complaints to me instead of sending them to suse. For this reason, this is a good time to start being friendly....
