Problem solved using "zypper in kttsd" -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

When, on login? What repos did you zypper up (this list implies openSUSE:Factory and maybe KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop)? I did solve it by using "zypper in kttsd". zypper found it and installed it even though I have no need of it. I don't remember which repos it was. I would guess it was a dependency left off of some package.rpm A list of /etc/zypp/repos.d Download_factory_repo_non-oss.repo openSUSE 11.2-0.repo repo-oss.repo Download.factory_repo__oss.repo repo-debug.repo repo-source.repo http-download.opensuse.org-db034e15.repo repo-non-oss.repo VideoLan.repo -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Could you go into a little more detail about what gave you the 'KDE error "Starting KTTSD Failed"' so I can understand what package needs kttsd and when it complains about not finding it? If you just tell me that you solved it, that's great for you but gives me no information to help other people. It was solved by downloading the kttsd (zypper in kttsd) rpm directly and not via "zypper up". It was a "X"/KDE4 error the popped up as a missing application. So it must have been a zypper dependency problem. Now it pops up and wants to be setup. I am not sure why I need it. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

There is a missing "Recommends" somewhere... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
