[opensuse-factory] Amarok and mythTV
Hey Group; How come two different applications require to be started with "strace -o program.err program". Assume program is either amarok or mythtv-setup. This has to be a openSuSE 11.# or KDE4.# headache. Amarok from openSuSE's DVD had this problem and MythTV 0.24 from source has it also. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Curious, using strace to start programs seems very weird. Where is this documented as hack and why? Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

This would seem to be some kind of timing error or race. Donn is using a Asus A7N8X-E deluxe motherboard, I think with a XP2800+ CPU. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
