[opensuse-factory] acpid requires systemd?
Can this be true? If so, why? Zypper won't let me upgrade acpid without breakage unless systemd is installed too. I have systemd locked out, as I'd rather test things I can understand in Factory, not major overhaul stuff. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Might be that it requires it. But systemd does not replace sysvinit, you can install them in parallel, so no need to lock it out, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yes, it is needed for installing the package properly (and getting it registered). But systemd is not required to be running. And installing systemd package itself doesn't enable it by default. This might disappear once upstream implement "preset" files. -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
