[opensuse-factory] yast problem on first boot
Hi, last weekend I tried to install 13.2 to my dual-boot notebook. Due to different issues I tried several images (milestone 0, factory, kde- and network-installer). Whenever an initial install succeeded the automatic configuration after first boot always gave an error: Yast tried to run the module inst_automatic_configuration and a red popup states that calling this module failed. I had a look at the y2log, which states "... modules/ProductConrol.rb:1400 Calling ´inst_automatic_configuraiton´ ($1["enable_back":false, "enable_next":false]) returned nil A search in the opensuse mailing list for an error with this module gives no result, so I'm wondering what could trigger this error. Thanks in advance -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you for your response. In fact it is bug 890800 what I am experiencing. The interesting thing is that I see this behavior with _any_ 13.2 install image I tried. I.e. not only with current factory images (with net or KDE live installer) but also with 13.2 milestone 0. So I wonder how can anyone install a 13.2 from any factory image? P.S. I also found your comment from August 14th on Cristian Rodríguez problem "and the installer just returns to the first stage on a loop.." I found that the workaround described in bug 890800 comment #1 in fact prevents from the described popup ("Calling the YaST module 'inst_automatic_configuration has failed. ...") but not from the installer looping in the first stage as described Is there any recommended way to get 13.2 installed with a 13.2 install image? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
