[opensuse-factory] Repair Mini ISOs
Hi! Lars was so kind to upload the ISOs, that I titled so far as repair mini ISOs: ftp://beta.suse.com/private/10.3-repair-mini You should be able to boot from them and then insert the original medium. That will give an updated kernel for hardware where the GM kernel does not work and a fixed repair function in Yast. If someone volunteers to do a more advanced wiki page, this would be very welcome. Greetings, Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Um, the updated Yast is missing, the new mini-ISOs do not contain /boot/<arch>/root file which contains the installation system with Yast (inst-sys). There is only a new kernel and initrd... -- Best Regards Ladislav Slezák Yast Developer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: lslezak@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 960 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

It's not supposed to contain a inst-sys, but only a driver update directory. Greetings, Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Uh, I don't see any 'driverupdate' file (or directory) in the ISO images... -- Best Regards Ladislav Slezák Yast Developer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: lslezak@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 960 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Good to know, I didn't have time to test it myself :) Greetings, Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
