I installed milestone 7 on a Compaq Pressario CQ71. I do not get audio with this. The Compaq has an 82801I (IHC9 Family) HD Audio Controller. Is there a way to get audio working? -- Decebal Computing Voor uw ICT oplossingen Cecil Westerhof Senior Software Engineer M Cecil@Decebal.nl LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/cecilwesterhof -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I suggest you to run alsaconf, if that does not fix the problem, open a bug report including the output of alsa-info.sh script. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

It's there just for very very old non-PnP ISA boards. It might still work, but gives more pain from the maintenance POV. So, unless you are using a machine of the last century, don't use alsaconf any more.
