Is there any reason why `kid3' (an ID3 tagging editor for audio files) is only available as kde3-kid3? Any chance that this gets updated? Werner -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

As dave pointed out the is a kde4 version which no one submitted to Factory yet, for that it also needs a maintainer. There will be some reworking in the kde teams project structure so Community will undergo changes, we hope there will be a more clear path into :Factory in the future Karsten -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

hmm we have no real 'process' for this right now, easiest would be to jump into #opensuse-kde or write to the -kde list that you want to maintain it, in irc you should ping llunak, tittiacoke or wstephenson about it, that's propably the quickest method. No need, I've added Dave as a maintainer of this package. If Dave wants to maintain more packages in KDE:KDE4:Community just let us know. Ah I was more thinking about submitting kid3 to openSUSE:Factory (or KKFD first) not only the maintainership in :Community

It's too late for new packages in 11.3 unfortunately but it will definitely be in the version after that. At least KDE:KDE4:Community is offered, in yast, under the list of community repos. The best I can do for now is to get a link to openSUSE on the kid3 home page. Why too late? It's basically a replacement of kde3-kid3 with kid3... Werner -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

yeah because we dropped it from :Factory with the main KDE3 drop, atleast I think so, is there a place to see stuff like that btw? Still Factory is closed for new submissions, so it's mostly because of beeing too late, it's not like there is no place to get it though. kde3-kid3 and kid3 are two different packages, kde3-kid3 is a kde3 package that resides in kde3community and kid3 is kde4-kid3 renamed and is the one that will eventually end up in factory after 11.3 is released. I see that kde3-kid3 seems to be one version behind kid3 the kde4 package so it should be able to be updated, if that's the version you use. Do you use kde3 or 4? I'm using KDE 4, and I've meanwhile updated to the `kid3' bundle (for KDE 4). Werner -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

It is easily accessible in KDE:KDE4:Community for now and I'm going to push it into KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop where it will be even more accessible. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
