shows mainly that distros are nearly equal, ext3 being much faster than ext4 (ext4 that seems to have to become default, this is a problem). fedora uses a security sheme that may slowdown sometime all this mean little if anything being all very preliminary versions, however, being preliminary they allowed to run the benchs :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Fedora Rawhide uses *_DEBUG=y everywhere when compiling kernel in early phases of development. SELinux does not cause so significant delays.

Agreed, openSUSE 11.1 was released in Dec 2008, Ubuntu 9.04 + Mandriva 2009.1 in April 2009 and Fedora 11 in June 2009, so the state of the upcoming versions of these distributions is very different. -- Best Regards / S pozdravom, Pavol RUSNAK SUSE LINUX, s.r.o openSUSE Community Multiplier Team Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xA6917144 19000 Praha 9, CR prusnak[at]suse.cz http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
