If you remain current in Tumbleweed (which *should* be a given), users of hp products with hplip/hpijs need updating which is not provided by the *regular* Tumbleweed repos, add: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Printing/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/Print... and your hp-toolbox will again work properly. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

What changed in Tumbleweed to "break" these printers? Is there a package I should be adding to Tumbleweed to keep this from happening again? If so, what are they? thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It is a upstream bug in HPLIP which also happens for non-Tumbleweed distributions (e.g. openSUSE 12.2 and Ubuntu 12.04), see https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1064889 It is fixed in HPLIP 3.12.10a (the 'a' does not mean "alpha status" but "first bugfix release"). Therefore nothing in openSUSE:Tumbleweed is the reason and because there is no hplip package in openSUSE:Tumbleweed, nothing in openSUSE:Tumbleweed needs to be changed.
