[opensuse-factory] Please, verify - xfce4-settings-4.14.0-1.1.x86_64
Hello! Yes I know: I SHOULD BE FILE A BUG... But in this way is extremely faster, sorry! After last updates which have installed xfce4-settings-4.14.0-1.1.x86_64 (on ven 23 ago 2019, 11:39:56) I noticed that xfce screen manager was not working anymore. By running the command xfce4-display-settings by hand, I get a core dump. I temporarily resolved by installing the package: Repository : Xfce Nome : xfce4-settings Versione : 4.14.1-77.1 Arch. : x86_64 Fornitore : obs://build.opensuse.org/X11 Thanks and Regards, -- Marco Calistri Build: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20190820 Kernel: 5.2.8-1-default - Cinnamon 3.8.9 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hello Marcel, Hope you have noticed also that xfce4-screensaver/xfce4-power-manager combination are buggy, or at least they don't work as it was before latest XFCE4 updates. The issue is that when system goes st/by, screensaver starts, the screens (I use two, the one of the laptop + an external one) locks regularly, but when you try to wake up the system, the login screen (password) dialog window appears, then you put the password but screen stay blank and locked, so I need to hit a Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to exit and restart a new xfec4 session. I googled and same issue is reported by several XFCE4 users then I hope that XFCE4 dev's team is working on it. Can't say that I have, I've not seen that behaviour myself.

But does a report on bugzilla.xfce.org exist for this? Else it is unlikely the devs are aware of it. So if no ticket exists there I'd like to ask you to open one, if one exists already could you link it please? -- Marcel Kühlhorn Have a lot of fun!

Hello, I would like to advise the list about the presence of a weird issue also for Cinnamon DE: if you lock the screen and wait some longer time to unlock it, then when you try to input your user password, one of the keyboard keys is not recognized by the system and you cannot login in any way, only solution is restarting the DE. I want to add this occurrence for Cinnamon because the two issues (XFCE and Cinnamon) could have some relationship (perhaps). Please advise the Cinnamon maintainers via bugzilla rather then advising this list. That is why we have a bugtracker.
