Every time I boot I get a whole list of usb errors such as: usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71. As I seem to remember there was an info that this problem was generally solved with one of the updates. Cannot find it back so my question, was the problem solved and how can I rectify this nuisance. -- Linux User 183145 using KDE4 Tumbleweed on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 20160110 (x86_64) Kernel: 4.3.3-5-default KDE Development Platform: 4.14.15 11:24am up 0:53, 2 users, load average: 0.03, 0.25, 0.39 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Every time I boot I get a whole list of usb errors such as: usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71.
I see none (device descriptor read) in my logs.
As I seem to remember there was an info that this problem was generally solved with one of the updates.
And your system is up-to-date, 20160110, so you would have the solution installed.
Cannot find it back so my question, was the problem solved and how can I rectify this nuisance.
Hazarding a *guess*, faulty usb device or hub? Remove *all* usb devices and hubs you can and watch logs. Periodically add back single devices until you again see the error logged. Replace faulty device. If that doesn't work, I don't know. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
