Thanks for the fast answer. But are this official Tumbleweed packages ? sorry I'm quite new with OpenSuse. As far I have seen by default after activating Tumbleweed my virt-manager was not updated. Chris On Mon, Feb 24, 2014 at 9:55 PM, Patrick Shanahan <paka@opensuse.org> wrote:

The *only* "Official" Tw files are those provided by Greg KH :^). Anything else is supported by *you*, and/or the packager if he is available and interested and willing. I have on occasion shot myself in the foot or other sensitive appendage.... -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Thanks. Last question, as Virt-manager 0.9.5 is buggy, and I could really use some of the new features ( usb redirect support in Virt-viewer), is there an ufficial way to ask that version 1.0 to be included in Tumbleweed. First step: Get it into the 'offical' Virtualization Repo, Second step: Get it into factory, Third step: Ask for inclusion into TW. That's not about jumping hoops for fun and terror, it's about QA. Giving a clear cause (here: buggyness, info about new features) helps to get support for the up(date|grade). - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It's allready in the Virtualization and Factory repositories. Thus only the last step is needed. Regards, -- Cedric -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Thanks a lot, So practically what I have to do? Sending another mail to this mailing list asking for inclusion? The main problems with 0.9.5 is a bug on the disk and network properties which raise a python exception. Bug already in the bug tracker. Missing features: Usb forwarding in virt view. Snapshot support. Christian On Wed, Feb 26, 2014 at 9:45 AM, Cedric Bosdonnat <cbosdonnat@suse.com> wrote:

Email me and tell me exactly what packages to link to from what repo and I'll add it to the tumbleweed testing repo and ask you to verify that it works properly before adding it to the "real" tumbleweed repo. thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Factory had (probably still has) the same problem recently, but since I manually install my VMs anyway, so I did not mind that much yet ;-) This is only about installing VMs from virt-manager, everything else seems to work fine. -- Stefan Seyfried "For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled." -- Richard Feynman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Could you please file a bug with the exact description of what you did? Otherwise, it'll be hard to keep track of that bug. Thanks -- Cedric -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I have a strange error on one of two machines running tumbleweed with virt-manager 1.0.0-2.2. I can use virsh and connect to qemu:///system without any problems, but from the virt-manager I get: - ---------- Error polling connection 'qemu:///system': An error occurred, but the cause is unknown - ---------- On the other machine, this works without errors. The same virt-related packages are installed on both machines. The same config is used. Only difference is, that one of them has a wired connection (the one with the error), the other is wifi. I found these, but without solution:
