I have no idea if this has anything to do with KDE3, but its DE and KDM3 are the only places I've seen this: http://fm.no-ip.com/SS/Suse/r128kde3-120.jpg And, I've only seen it on one system, as a result of testing the fix to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91358 . As I have only the one r128 gfxcard, I don't know a way to isolate it to hardware. The corruption in the SS does not appear in either xterm or firefox running IceWM on the same TW machine, and I've seen no such corruption on any other TW/KDE3 installation. The prior r128 driver in TW is totally non-functional. Also, X wouldn't even start until booting the 4.4.0 kernel. With 4.3.x, X tried to start, then exited before painting any of the DE, and I couldn't tell why[1]. Any ideas what else to try to find out where fault might lie?
