Hello there, I suppose I should have written this email before creating the requests, but seems like I was a little bit to quick. Sorry for that. I propose adding vifm file manager to Factory, it's a cli file manager with vi-like keybindings and I know quite some people who are using it on a daily basis. It's actively maintained and get further developed. Request: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/293707 Furthermore I propose of adding atool to Factory. It's a program that helps with easy extraction and creation of various archive formats. A simple "atool -x package.ending" can thus extract all supported formats, and you don't have to learn the commands for every single archive formats. At least not of the ones less commonly used. Request: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/293706 This is the first time I am doing something like this. So in case I did anything wrong please don't hesitate to tell me. I am not too familiar with your workflow yet. But I would like to change that :-) regards, Michael -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you for taking the time to introduce your new packages. I guess we can assume that you will be sticking around for a while to do the nescessary maintenance work as well (keeping the package up-to-date, building, releases security updates, should the need arise).

You seem to have done everything right: you found a devel project for your packages, you submitted them to openSUSE:Factory and you introduced them. There are now a couple of other teams looking over your submissions, most notably these are: * Legal team: verifying that the packages ideed adhere to an OSI license, and that the license terms are adhered to (COPYING file installed for example, correct License Tag in the .spec) * factory-review-team: The team will review your .spec file against the openSUSE packaging guidelines. Some stuff might be discusse on the submit request directly. Any of the groups declining the package will give you the reasons as to why it was declined. That generally does not mean 'there is no chance', just that some work needs to be done to pass the reviews. Stay on it and it will go rather quick normally. Looking forward to see you around!
