Hi,
From AJ's announcement:
I just did an i386 minimal text install, it took approx 450 MB from CD1, but also required about 3 packages from CD2. Should I file a bug report? Thanks, Chad

Yes, please do - and name the 3 packages (check the end of /var/log/YaST/y2logRPM). Assign it to me, I'll take care of that, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

How about the minimal graphical install? It's not mentioned in the above layout. How many cds should be needed? Someone told me cd1 should be enough - but I tried to do it on an earlier beta and it also needed a few packages from cd2 - among others windowmaker, glibc, rsync, xmset, lsb - a total of 18 megs (harddisk space I believe). It would be nice if all the packages for minimal graphical install could also be fitted on cd1. cb400f

of course, we can :-) http://en.opensuse.org/SUPER was quite sleeping :-( but recently there was an update, I will see if it's better jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos

BTW, why WindowMaker would be needed on a default KDE install? I understant it could be interesting on minimal X install (although I think fluxbox or blackbox would fit better on "minimal" than WM), but I don't understant why it get installed with default selection. -- % Mauricio Teixeira (netmask) % mteixeira{a}webset{d}net <> Maceio/AL/BR % http://mteixeira.webset.net <> http://pmping.sf.net

who speaks of kde? As seen in archives, it's about minimal option in the yast menus -others/minimal graphics) the worst is that is you don't have the second cd, you stop with a broken root login (no password usable - beta8) I'm very interested on this one also jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
