[opensuse-factory] New devel project for SDR related packages
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hello I would like to introduce new devel project - hardware:sdr for SDR (Software Defined Radio) and amateur radio tools. There is currently just one package but this will of course improve over time. As some of you might have noticed there also exist project hamradio, however its maintainers do not wish for it to be devel project for Factory. So what's the difference between ham and sdr other than the "in software" part? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

From memory most of the stuff in hamradio is SDR stuff these days there is very little difference. Where ever it ends up being, gnuradio should probably also be moved there from Science (or keep using science until there is more packages?) That is of course if someone fixes the long standing build issues (since before the Leap 42.2 release). -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

Thanks for suggestions, qgrx is one of targets, other packages will definitely follow. This is why I would have thought using that repo as a devel repo would save work and duplication. Is there a reason why the maintainers object?
