[opensuse-factory] Let's drop Add-On Products from Control Center
Hi there, We still have too many icons in the Software group in YaST Control Center. For openSUSE, there is only one add-on product known (Language Add-On) and it more or less copies the functionality of languages~view of Package manager. Currently, all repositories can be managed directly from the Package manager (so also "the one" add-on too). In (not only) my opinion, we could safely drop the desktop file for Add-On Products module or move it to some other (!required && !recommended) package just for those who really want it. The YaST Add-On Product module seems to only confuse openSUSE users as they sometimes consider YaST Repositories module being the same. Any objections against not having the Add-On Product icon in Software (by default)? Well. Adding on-line repositories during installation which is now hidden under Add-on product check box could be also be renamed to be more visible and easy to understand for new users. But do you want to change also this part of the installation process? That was intentional. We didn't want to bother openSUSE users with *Community Repositories* on the Installation Mode dialog as we did in openSUSE 10.3. Community Repositories are just another type of Add-On-Products/Repositories and you can find there even in installation if you dig deeper :)

Not at all. Installation doesn't have Control Center :) ;) This is really only about dropping/moving an icon/desktop file... L.

Well, i don't care what the place/sub-menu is where i can add additional repositories, as long as you can add them....
And this is exactly why I'd like to drop it from openSUSE. Add-Ons are often understood as "just another way to add another repository", but Add-Ons actually *aren't* just a way to add another repository, they are way how to add another product (Add-On) to the current system (of course, it works for another repository too but in that case it is duplicity).
