What's the best way out of this situation for users finding themselves in this situation? Just wait for some FACTORY sync, or is there some- thing one needs to do locally as well? I'm still seeing that error a week later, and after I did a "zypper dup". Has it been solved? It should be resolved, run "zypper refresh -f" to force a reread of the caches. if it still fails, please tell us, Andreas

Yes, it's resolved, but unfortunately the host producing factory got a hard drive problem and the backup was restored with broken patterns again. Now the host has again problems and we have weekend - it's very unfortunate, but shit happens. And I can't even fix the patterns in the repository without breaking the signatures ;( Greetings, Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Greetings, Stephan
As a workaround one can add factory as rpm-md and not yast2. Meaning add http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/ See the extra /suse/ in above link, this worked for me atleast. Yes, it's resolved, but unfortunately the host producing factory got a hard drive problem and the backup was restored with broken patterns again.
First workaround: the patterns are restored on the internal hosts manually. But we have to wait until the changes are synced out again.

A new rebuild of factory is already triggered. So the complete tree should be changed in a few hours. So for now it looks like the best way to sit down and wait until a new sync is out. Or fix it temporary using: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2008-05/msg00261.html FYI : 18580 May 11 20:05 content 189 May 11 20:06 content.asc 133363 May 11 20:03 suse/setup/descr/dvd-11.0-90.i586.pat.gz 138062 May 11 20:04 suse/setup/descr/dvd-11.0-90.ppc.pat.gz 140360 May 11 20:03 suse/setup/descr/dvd-11.0-90.x86_64.pat.gz 795 May 11 20:04 suse/setup/descr/MD5SUMS those are the fixed files.
