This mail to discuss submitting python-pika (devel project is
devel:languages:python) to Factory.
python-pika is the most famous python package to develop AMQP client
applications and thought as of python-client library for RabbitMQ.
rabbitmq-server is already a part of Factory. This way submitting of
pika may be considered as improvement of support of AMQP in openSUSE.
Unless there are complicating factors, a person willing to package and maintain a new
package simply needs to submit it to factory and post a notification email here. No need
for rfc and/or discussion.
That is why opensuse refers to itself as a doapoly. That is, those that do decide. In my
case I have endeavored to ensure opensuse has a suite of digital forensic tools. Since
they don't negatively impact anyone else and are legal and opensource, they get
accepted even if I might me the only user.
