[opensuse-factory] Apache:Modules need more active maintainership
Hello guys, after checking review queue for various devel projects I noticed the Apache:Modules project is not geting enough love. Currently just 2 requests that are open for >2 months, but I closed (merged) quite few. Usually this falls under factory-maintainer group when we know what to do there after such long period of time. But when the requests get complex or there are quite few of them it would be nicer to have more interested and dedicated maitnainers on the topic. Any takers that want to play with Apache? Cheers Tom

I'm happy to help with Apache, although I don't know how much time I'll have for it :-( -- Per Jessen, Zürich (7.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Over on the opensuse list I was recommended to switch from mod_php5 to php-fpm because the latter has unfixable bugs: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2014-03/msg00676.html Is this the reason? As far as I can see, that recommendation was intended for the situation where you want to run e.g. shell_exec from within apache. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (12.0°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Ah, so the apache module is OK, just not for exec();? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Those problems are not unfixable, they have not been corrected so far though. it is certain that certain command line execution functionality using exec() or shell_exec() will not work.
