[opensuse-factory] Leap42 - using fish:// in Dolphin ?
I'm not having much luck with this, it just keeps asking for my password (for whereever I'm fishing). Has anyone had better luck than me? I guess the Kwallet thing is gone? (it doesn't pop up). /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.8°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Just to make sure: is kwalletd5 running? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yep, it's running. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (7.9°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Does sftp:// save passwords, instead? (so we can rule fish:/ specific behavior) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Nope, doesn't work with sftp:// either. Keeps asking for the password and the target system is showing "authentication failure" in the log. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (10.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This just keeps going - the dialog pops up, I click cancel, wait 5 secs, the dialog pops up, I click cancel, ad infinitum. Closing Dolphin didn't stop it, I expect I'll need to reboot. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (11.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I think your problem might be with ksshaskpass, and not kwallet, if kwallet is otherwise working. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I can't say if kwallet is otherwise working, it hasn't actually popped up yet :-) -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Something local ?? Request for kwallet password appears here for fish, sftp and smb. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Quite possibly something local, but it's a vanilla leap42 install. I use it only for testing. And your fish://somewhere/something with Dolphin works fine? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (11.1°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, better than sftp, but doesn't always request a password from kwallet. Seems to be time related. But I cannot say for sure. It may be that dolphin itself want's a password for access to kwallet rather than the particular site (kwallet contains site's password). Things change so much and often that this old mind has some difficulty keeping track :). -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hmm, must be something in my installation then. I'm not too worried about kwallet working or not, but atm fish:// doesn't work at all. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
