Are .xpm files fringe? With this update, gkrellm just fails to start because it uses .xpm files a lot.

Are you sure? I use createrepo_c myself for all my local repos, but did not see an issue there. According to "rpm -q createrepo_c -R" it does not use any of the pixbuf related packages - I would be astonished if it would. What failure do you see? Cheers. l8er manfred
