[opensuse-factory] Require feedback on assigning block size for partitions for new drive
Hello List Mates, I have noticed that when formatting partitions I click on the Option button under EXT4. The block size is set to auto to let the filesystem select the block size according to size etc. When all is done, I boot my SystemRescue CD and run TestDisk. It informs me about a problem with the superblock. My question to you is.. Can I assign 4096 bytes rather than use auto? -- Cheers! And what parameters do you give it?
For the partitioning? BTW: Time to revisit 'info df': there's no need for awk(1)ward field parsing of df's output anymore. Since coreutils-8.21, df supports the --output option by which you can directly select which column you want to print. (You still have to get rid of the header line, here using "sed 1q"): tune2fs -l $(df --output=source / | sed 1d) Have a nice day, Berny -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Have a nice day, Berny Good one! It's so much simpler ;-)
