Can't be, XFS is stable and better than btrfs, that's what the internet has been telling me for years now... /sarcasm Thanks for the heads up https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1089175 is in staging J, but at time of writing it's building, so there's no chance of it being released any time soon https://build.opensuse.org/staging_workflows/openSUSE:Factory/staging_projec... That said, the redhat bug report suggests it happens with the kernel version we already have out..so maybe moving forward would be the best thing to do. I've commented on the SR to make sure the kernel maintainers consider what the best move is. -- Richard Brown Distributions Architect SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, Frankenstraße 146, D-90461 Nuremberg, Germany (HRB 36809, AG Nürnberg) Managing Directors/Geschäftsführer: Ivo Totev, Andrew Myers, Andrew McDonald, Martje Boudien Moerman

JFYI: I am not experiencing any metadata corruption issues on the XFS file system with kernel 6.3.4. Regards, Frank

FYI: Fix will be available for 6.3.3 and 6.3.4, cf. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1089502. Thanks to RB and JS. See also https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-xfs/msg72210.html for more details. Regards, Frank

Running with 6.3.2 and 2 xfs mounts, so far so good with heavily daily usage. Seems to affect more but not only, hardware controllers and mostly on stripe raid.

So, I thought I could get the kernel 6.2.12 back via tumbleweed-cli, but of course it's already expired (would have been in 20230422). Any other options? Btrfs snapshot assuming you have it enabled?

kernel-6.2.12 (x86_64) looks available here http://download.opensuse.org/history/20230505/tumbleweed/repo/oss/x86_64/ (You'll have to download the rpm packages manually) Regards, Ahmad Samir
Hi ASSI, The 6.2.12 kernel is available in 20230505 still, just download from the history builds, here's the link https://download.opensuse.org/history/20230505/tumbleweed/repo/oss/x86_64/ke... Joe On 5/27/23 01:01, ASSI wrote:
