Bring up KDE and the sound is dead. It is not kmix and the Mute button. I have Amarok 2.1.1. that works prefect. However, now and then KDE comes up and no sound. The module is shown by lsmod and Yast2 Hardware Sound "Test" works correctly form a console "tty1". Come back to startx KDE and no sound.. This problem is not a gstream or phonon problem. It is a KDE problem somewhere. Add to this, sometime after about 10 to 15 minutes the sound will start working. On KDE3.5 there was a way to change the "wait" time - KDE 4.# has no like function
