[opensuse-factory] java plugin for firefox on x86_64, alpha6
Is this supposed to work right now? Or is it still work in progress with the plugin wrapper... At least a very positive thing is that java in Konqueror does work. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Please note that I'm not absolutely sure what the decision was actually but IIRC 10.3 is again supposed to ship a 32bit Firefox because of the "Java issue". nspluginwrapper is not (and probably won't be) able to work with Java and there is no Java 64bit plugin available still. So I think you still have to make sure that you use a 32bit JRE together with 32bit Firefox to be able to use Java applets. Hm, didn't try that with konq.. must do. A6 defaults to 32bit Firefox, but x86_64 Java. I have reopened this bug to suggest using i586 java in default installation, so java webapplets will work out of the box. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=264228 I wonder if it might be possible to have both archs of java 5... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
