Hello fellow Tumbleweed users. If you have just upgraded tumbleweed to the latest snapshot, and GDM/Gnome both fail to start, you will have to reinstall gnome-related packages: rpm -qa --qf '%{name}\n' | grep gnome | xargs sudo zypper in -f And gnome will start again! zypper in -f $(rpm -qa '*gnome*') That said: Indeed it will reinstall them, but how is this going to fix anything? If Factory has indeed received updates, their version number would be higher and a normal (d)up would already draw them, would it not? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
