[opensuse-factory] Bug #431565: Distribution upgrade does not work on x86_64
We discussed private bugs today, and there is one more: http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs_11.1_dev Bug #431565: Distribution upgrade does not work on x86_64 Klaus? I wanted to see the bug as I did: zypper dup to go from Beta1 to Beta2, using new factory repository, and virtual installation works fine. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I have to skip late night posts. The VirtualBox is running 32 bit system. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I just moved it to product openSUSE, it should be visible now.

Right, zypper is working fine. The problem was in YaST, which starts with an 'new installation' proposal when you boot from CD. Switching to 'distribution upgrade' didn't reset the package transaction properly, resulting in a failed upgrade. Ah, reminds me of when we had that problem in 10.2(I think) with PPC. I'd get an unreal # of 64bit packages as dependencies on a 32bit system. Ended up having to taboo all the 64bit packages to make it work.
