[opensuse-factory] hald-addon-stor fails to suspend in 12.1
I've pasted the trace here: <https://gist.github.com/1475792> I can't seem to get a reliable test case, hald-addon-stor seems to fail to sleep after 5-6 suspend-to-ram cycles, but I'm not sure what the behavior I'm doing to periodically encounter the error. :( Not sure what to do about this one :/ - R. hal-addon-storage is no longer in Factory, so technically speaking you are on the wrong mailing list :-) IIRC this was that CDROM polling thingy. Do you have an optical drive in your machine? Is a medium inserted? A readable medium? This is probably not really a problem of hal-addon-storage but the driver for the device is blocking for whatever reason (and hal-addon-storage has the device opened and thus cannot be freezed).
Not sure what to do about this one :/
I'd just deinstall all hal stuff. It is no longer needed on 12.1 AFAICT. -- Stefan Seyfried "Dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body!" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Why do you have HAL installed ? It is no longer used ... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I removed it and it looks like it was brought in when I installed blueman. I've removed and it I'll report back if I still have issues. - R. Tyler Croy -------------------------------------- Code: http://github.com/rtyler Chatter: http://twitter.com/agentdero rtyler@jabber.org

You'll will need it if you run VMware Workstation on your machine... Saw this problem also with an USB stick - which was properly ejected... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
