bluetooth issues - no adapter found - anybody else also?
Hi there, since the most recent Tumbleweed snapshot from Monday my bluetooth adapter has vanished. Is that a known problem? Anybody else suffering this too? I am just starting my research.... Works well here. Video conf with my connected Sony WH-1000XM5 at the moment. No problem. # grep ^VER /etc/os-release VERSION_ID="20240524" -- /bengan
Run bluetoothctl (or check the Bluetooth configuration app in your DE) and check if your adapter is powered on, if not, turn it on. I had the same issue a few months back after a Tumbleweed update. After enabling it once, it has worked for me ever since. I use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so I use it quite a lot daily. Thank you! power on says "no adapter found", that was the first thing I tried. :-) Am Mittwoch, 29. Mai 2024, 14:05:22 GMT+1 schrieb Erico Mendonca via openSUSE Factory:

Maybe it's related to this kernel bug: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1225068 For me it works the workaround proposed: # cp /lib/firmware/mediatek/BT_RAM_CODE_MT7961_1{,a}_2_hdr.bin.xz Regards
Thank you! I will try and report! Am Mittwoch, 29. Mai 2024, 14:05:49 GMT+1 schrieb Daniel Garcia via openSUSE Factory:

Thank you Daniel (and all others) for pointing to this bug! That workaround helped, after a reboot I now have bluetooth working again. -- Best Regards - Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Markus Feilner, Feilner IT - 20 years of open services - Digital Sustainability, Sovereignty, Sobriety Open Source Strategy, Knowledge Management, Documentation Trainings, Workshops, Coaching, Networking, Politics, Journalism https://www.feilner-it.net, 93059 Regensburg Wöhrdstr. 10, +49 170 302 7092 (+Signal) https://mastodon.cloud/@mfeilner https://mastodon.social/@FeilnerIT PGP: 40A3C306F96133067C11CFD9A958A906268C9F0A http://www.feilner-it.net/files/MFpub.asc Xing: http://www.xing.com/profile/Markus_Feilner LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/markusfeilner @mfeilner: Mastodon, Matrix, Jabber, ... Every now and then I have to power on Bluetooth (by blutoothctl) which was the case after my latest update. I use a bt keyboard, so I think in general bt is very reliable. Good luck. -------- Ursprüngliche Nachricht -------- Van: Markus Feilner <mfeilner@feilner-it.net> Aan: factory@lists.opensuse.org Onderwerp: bluetooth issues - no adapter found - anybody else also? Have you ever to use a BT keyboard and a BT headset at the same time? Everytime I try, after a while both devices cease to work. Martin
