[opensuse-factory] Firefox is crash happy
After a zypper dup a few days ago, MozillaFirefox-6.0.2-5.1.x86_64 crashes often. Clicking restart does nothing, so I wait a while and starts it up but clicking on a link will often cause it to crash on my 3 boxes. Crash reports sent upstream. I have yet to file a bug. I wonder if it really is Firefox, Sid. My wife's system (11.4, 32-bit, with FF 6.0.2) doesn't crash at all and I update it daily. On the other hand, my own system (also 32-bit) which has KDE 4.7.x (hers is the original one which comes with 11.4) locks up at random but not when I am using FF - and I have quite a number of extensions installed. The lock-ups, as I said, occur randomly; the last lock-up happened yesterday when I just got to the point of entering my password to logon. Because the "crashes" are totally random I cannot see a pattern but can say that FF hasn't contributed to the "crashes". I have to add that 1) I am using FF 9.0.x (Nightly) and 2) using kernel 3.0.x. For more background, my installation is (as usual) a clean install of 11.4 but then repos were added to give me KDE 4.7 and kernel 3.0.
