Fwd: [opensuse-factory] MATE 1.5.x - inclusion in openSUSE and oS:Factory
I've taken the liberty of forwarding your message in case you didn't noticed... if it was meant to be just to me and not to the list, then I think we must talk personally, as it's the second time your pulling 'special' requirements to my submissions (first time was Unknown Horizons). Could you please enlighten us if LXDE for example is subject to the same requirements? Or is this just a blocker for MATE because "I" am requesting it? Dude, if you want me to drop it, I'll make you that special favor, just me know as soon as possible. I'm sure I can make your day. Hi all,
I would like to request information which I believe that a few people here can help me with. I've currently made X11:MATE:Factory which now holds around half of the packages of MATE 1.5 (the missing ones are currently being ported to DBus/GSettings and should be available during the next 2 weeks). Everything currently is running smooth with 1.5 (not all features are currently available yet). There is also on that repo a pattern, mate-desktop-basic, which should install the minimum MATE components required and is being made having in mind performing a MATE install on a GNOME LiveCD and to use the GNOME3 components.
Now my big question is: what do I need to do to get MATE Desktop supported by /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager ?
NOTE: my patch to implement support for mate in portland/xdg-utils has been accepted upstream, and has landed already on 12.1 and 12.2!
If "mate" is able to use systemd-login and does not require consolekit , then +0. otherwise -1. -- --- Artigo 21 - Direito à Resistência Todos têm o direito de resistir a qualquer ordem que ofensa os seus direitos, liberdades e garantias e de repelir pela força qualquer agressão, quando não seja possível recorrer à autoridade pública.
