Hello!

After rebooting my Tumbleweed machine after one of the recent updates, sddm just shows a black screen with just the mouse pointer showing.

I have not been able to pinpoint the cause of this but maybe someone else has and can help me save some time.

Any ideas?

This might not be the same situation. I had a similar problem with 6.5 kernel and I thought it had hung. After some research it turned out to be timeout situation with ata3 during boot up. I then left it until the timeout sorted itself out and it eventually came to SDDM. See bug: 1215328 I will now only boot with 6.4 kernel until the problem gets sorted
