[opensuse-factory] Old NVIDIA Cards
Is there a way to get nvidia drivers running on 11.1b1? I have a GF4 (in my notebook) So I cannot use the 1xx.xx drivers e.v. 177.78. The latest is 96.43.05 -- Joachim -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

BTW, do you know what is wrong in NVIDIA's RPMs that drivers from them don't want to work and self compiled do work? Many people have noticed and reported this, but NVIDIA did nothing with that. -- Jakub 'Livio' Rusinek http://liviopl.jogger.pl/

If you run factory you are on your own as far a nvidia drivers are concerned. When an nvidia repository for 11.1 appears then you can use rpms. I prefer the self compiled run package because "nvidia-settings" is more comprehensive.
