[opensuse-factory] pulse-audio-module-esound fail ?
Since last TW update I've now pulse-audio failing pulseaudio[15579]: [pulseaudio] socket-server.c: bind(): Address already in use pulseaudio[15579]: [pulseaudio] module.c: Failed to load module "module- esound-protocol-unix" (argument: ""): initialization failed. pulseaudio[15579]: [pulseaudio] main.c: Module load failed. pulseaudio[15579]: [pulseaudio] main.c: Failed to initialize daemon. pulseaudio[15576]: [pulseaudio] main.c: Daemon startup failed. Of course it can't install esound related things, I've nothing installed of *esound* why I should. The only thing is I'm only allowing install required software in my zypp.conf. I'm having the same issue. Sometimes it will work, sometimes not. When it happens, I can't control the audio device (no volume changing or mute/unmute), and it will either play audio or not, depending on whether it was muted before. For example now, having failed again, I can play audio fine, but there is no device shown in the tray. I'm on 20171026, so the problem's still there. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

There's a delete request for esound that's just been accepted after hanging around for a week. Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
