[opensuse-factory] dropping pkgs from Factory leads to broken packages
What is the process to drop a pkg from Factory, where is it documented? In the past weeks I found many pkgs which remain in state "broken" because they got silently dropped from Factory but the _link in their devel prj, which points to Factory, was not removed at the same time. It's up to the maintainer of that project (it's broken in all projects that link there not just the devel prj) what to do. Often the package is just unlinked and left as is (still compiling for old distributions). BTW: the packages aren't silently dropped, they are removed by means of delete requests, that the maintainers get an OBS notification unless unregistering to that notification. If its done by a delete request then this process most likely has the same permissions as a submit request, which leaves a trace in the pkg log and it updates the _link file. So I think the delete request should also add some blurb to the log and it should remove the _link file. Right now such packages just enter state 'broken' and thats it, and as a result its not compiled anymore for old distributions.
