[opensuse-factory] OpenOffice and pps files
OpenOffice on Milestone 3 fails to correctly open a power point file. Over and over it tries to recover a save from an email pps file or off the HD. First it is setting the permission so it can not write the file. Corrected with chmod and it will write the file. Then calling up OpenOffice3 Presenter, it fails to have completed the recovery and just tries again. This is a bug that started in 11.3M3. Think it has to do with the switch to gcc 4.5. Haven't tried M4 yet. The problem also occurs with OOdraw. You probably hit https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=588957 and its variants. The fix for this bug will be available on OOo-3.2.0.99.2 packages. I have just published these newer packages in the OpenOffice.org:UNSTBALE project, see http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_YaST_Package_Repositories#OpenOffice.org_U... The packages should be available on the mirrors within next few hours. I am going to submit it into Factory => they should be available via the official Factory repo the following week. If OOo-3.2.0.99.2 does not work for you, please report it into the Novell bugzilla.
