Could you make a scratch project just for that one package, then add factory as a build target? Then just delete the project when you are done.

Alternatively you could branch the package from KDE:KDE3, then change the build target for the automatically-generated branch repo to point to factory instead of KDE:KDE3. Once again you would delete the project when you are done (or not, and use it as a staging area to test changes before you push them to KDE:KDE3, which is what I do for other projects)
