[opensuse-factory] Xen not starting after upgrade to 11b3plus
Hi, I had Xen running on my OpenSuSE 11b2 and today I made a "zypper dup" to install the latest version of OSS 11. Installation went through correctly, but now, if I try to start "Xen -- OpenSuSE 11.0 - 2.6.25.4-2" the system comes up, but reboots after a short time. There are no error messages on the screen and last entry is "Xen is relinquishing VGA console" :-( Any idea how to solve this? Yes, the FACTORY kernel is unfortunately broken for many :-( We will checkin a new kernel now, that one should work. you can use the latest kotd (kernel of the day) from ftp (ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/HEAD/).
Hi Andreas, this solved my problem with Xen too, now I have "Xen -- openSUSE 11.0 - 2.6.25.4-HEAD_20080520151401" running. I also changed the PAE-kernel to the default-kernel that result in a non booting system (BUG: Int 14: CR2 ...), but this also was fixed by the kotd-kernel. And with the upgrade from 11.0b2 to 11.0b3plus the "Virtual Machine Manager" now is working also :-) Thanks, -- Chau y hasta luego, Thorolf --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
