[opensuse-factory] FYI: dropping build failed packages in Leap
Hi, On the cusp of RC1 the following packages are still failed in 42.2 and will therefore be removed from 42.2: filezilla gnuradio libfilezilla liblxqt-mount libmlx4-rdmav2 selinux-policy weston xfce4-panel-plugin-notes xfce4-vala cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.com/ SUSE Linux GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hi,
xfce4-panel-plugin-notes xfce4-vala
I created a submission to sync up xfce4-vala with Factory rev 36 (not current, but previous rev). So this might keep this in place (OTOH, we seem to no longer have anybody actively caring for XFCE - so a larger discussion might be needed here) Cheers, Dominique

Well, sorry for leaving this. Partly because I've been off for vacation in the last weeks, and partly because I didn't get proper messages... Is the package build failure for Leap 42.2 notified to project / package maintainers in a manner of TW? If I remember correctly, Ludwig enabled my Build Fail notification script also for leap, so yes, the same warnings are being sent. That said: the script suffers from a known bug: it uses the OBS provided /status route to find failing packages (incl info about how long it failed already) - and that dashboard does not list 'unresolvables'; for this reason, xfce4-vala was likely never caught by that script. Something to look at in the script I'm afraid. Cheers, Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I will miss filezilla at a minimum. I see it requires a newer version of gnutls than is available in 42.2 It wasn't in 42.1 either. Is there not a version in SLE 12 that could be used? If so, could that be done post 42.2 release? Thanks Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Sorry, it was inadvertent. What about filezilla and SLE. Does SLE have a filezilla package? Can it be incorporated into Leap 42.2 post release? Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The package builds in Factory. The problem with filezilla in Leap 42.2 is that "nothing provides pkgconfig(nettle) >= 3.1". Unfortunately, I do not know how to clear that problem. From a quick Google search, it appears that nettle is a low-level cryptographic library. It needs more newer packages now. See: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1001497

I have try it for leap 42.2 But no change. You can build it yourself, use tumbleweed or use my repo. Regards Eric -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I have now build a old version. Last possible version for Leap wich need no other or newer packages wich are not in Leap. I have also make an request: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/435474 This is the last i can do. Hope it will accepted. The newest version is 3.22.1 wich can build for tumbleweed without other missing package versions. It can also build in home for Leap. In my repo: old version: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:ecsos:branches:network (this repo will delete when request for 42.2 is accepted or declined newest version: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:ecsos Hope i can help people woh wants filezilla in 42.2 Regards Eric -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This is just because of lack of xfce4-vala. Please resurrect it once when xfce4-vala gets merged again. thanks, Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
