Steven, with Jan's patch [1], you should drop my attempt to fix this problem. So marking these symbols as hidden should be okay
Oh, so your problem was with a -j build?
Yes, when I tested my patch I accidentally didn't hit the truncate step and assumed this was due to my change. But it popped up again in our builds and Jan figured out what the root cause of it is.
Steven, I did some meson stuff lately, so I could help out if you ever consider meson :)
This is the first I heard of it. If it's better than 'configure' or 'cmake' I may consider it.
I started to use it for libnvme and nvme-cli and after the usual 'how to heck do I do this' phase it works pretty well. And I have to say the meson developers are absolute superb in supporting any meson users. I will send some patches for discussion. Daniel
