[opensuse-factory] Ceph -> Tumbleweed
Hi Factory ML: I am maintaining the ceph package. In case you don't know about Ceph, it is a distributed storage system. The upstream project has a vibrant community with lots of activity to maintain packages for major distros, like Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS and soon hopefully openSUSE as well. For the past half-year or so I have been collaborating with the Ceph community devs to ensure that the upstream spec file supports openSUSE, and as of yesterday we have the latest development version building in OBS: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/filesystems:ceph:jewel/ceph The logical next step is to submit this to Tumbleweed. I have never done this before - how should I proceed? Any pointers will be appreciated. In the next email I have a question about systemd-rpm-macros. Tried Google on "adding new package to opensuse factory", first two links were https://lizards.opensuse.org/2010/03/23/how-to-add-new-packages-to-the-opens... https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:How_to_contribute_to_Factory Michal Kubeček -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
