[opensuse-factory] Full wayland, multiple monitors, selecting main monitor?
I've been periodically trying out full-wayland. At this point it seems to start up pretty well, even with the Nvidia proprietary driver. It's a bit fragile, it fell over when I tried to use settings to change all the font sizes, but promising never the less. I've had no success in figuring out how to force the "default panel" onto my main monitor. I have a desktop with one GPU and two monitors. On X11 the panel always comes up on my 4K left monitor, and on Wayland it always seems to come up on my WUXGA (1920x1200) second display. I've googled up queries from people having similar problems, but the replies tend to be philosophical or even hostile (perhaps because "Nvidia" often comes into play). The best reply I've seen suggested Kwin rules might be able to achieve it. But I've yet to see any claim to a workable software solution. Does anyone here have any non-philosophical, non-hostile, answers? Three monitor setup here under full wayland. Works, but no GUI way to set up the main monitor. What I miss is a config file for kscreen to safe the setup (which screen to the left, above, whatever). And I miss the font manager as well. To be clear: the window showing all the installed fonts, rendered examples and so on. Problably all those gimmicks will emerge some day. Thanks to a hint here on the list kmail works, it's a pleasure to work using KDE.
